Their self-titled album debuts this January 28th/29th. A great band, consisting of some pretty talented and preppy kids. I suggest picking it up.

Tim Hamilton Resort Collection
If you can't already tell, I am a big fan of Tim Hamilton. I just like the simple and preppy design of his clothing. About 2 weeks ago, He sent me an update on his collection. I decided to compile all of the shots he emailed me into a little slideshow. Everything is available at Bergdorf Goodman.

Vincent Gallo

As of 2 weeks ago, I had never heard of him. However, after a quick search on Wikipedia. I soon found out who he was. Like all strange coincidences, everywhere I seem to look now his image or name shows up. I just found a large collection of YSL advertisements with him. I found that to be very strange, but then saw a vodka ad with him, his name mentioned in Vanity Fair, and an article talking about him in the New York Times. Then, while reading an issue of GQ his picture appeared again.

Hickey Polo Shirts

Hickey, the youth brand, of Hickey Freeman's suit company has a very cool collection of polo shirts. I had seen a few of the polo shirts at Barney's, but had never thought much about them. I only laughed seeing the large marijuana leaf on some of the merchandise; thinking to myself that I never would wear a shirt with a marijuana leaf. However, curious after reading about Hickey on a GQ style blog and a New York Time's style section post I reviewed the collection on their website. Immediately, clicking on the customized polo section to see the styles available. Any one can chose their color of choice from a variety of 14 different colors. Ranging from maroon to waspy Nantucket red, but even cooler was the variation of the symbol on the polo shirt that vary from twig & berries to a moonshine jug. The polo shirts are not only cool but creative.

Factotum
I just discovered the Japanese label Factotum. The website does not offer a lot of details about the brand, except that they have a few flagship stores in Japan. Feel free to check out the brand that seems like it has up-and-coming potential to be a popular fashion label. Unlike the traditional spring collections of most brands the collection consists of longer shorts.

Need Socks?
The monster sock is coming to an Urban Outfitters near you. The socks retail for 8$. The design is so cool that I don't know why anyone would pass on the opportunity to purchase these.

Self Edge, San Francisco's denim know- it -alls, has teamed up with Iron Heart to make a one of a kind pair of jeans. The jeans are built to withstand the extensive wear and stretching that jeans undergo while cycling. The jeans are built with a 21 oz denim made to endure the beatings dished out from the rider. Specific details written out by the Self Edge Blog:
"-21 ounce Sanforized Selvedge Japanese Denim

anything stored in the pockets
-Rear pockets sized to fit a mini U-Lock

Ties for Fall: 2007

Just like a new pair of shoes or a sweater, every man deserves and needs new ties for every season. Here are a couple selections for this fall.
Top: Knit Tie from Jcrew
Middle: Rugby by Ralph Lauren
Psycho Bunny- available at Barneys
*Please note hanging knit ties for storage is a bad idea because it stretches them out.
