Alexander Mcqueen Hottest Scarfs Of Past Now What?

Alexander Mcqueen had the hottest men's & women's silk scarves of the season and of the year. Now what? I couldn't find a great picture of the famous Mcqueen scarf skulled silk scarf. Instead, a collection of some of the looks. The intention was for the scarfs on the side and not the pool-wear popularity for the bag.

Anna Wintour Comments About Paris

My favorite comment about the new fashion, looks, and input about Paris fashion week was from Anna Wintour, editor-in-cheif of Vogue:

"Marc Jacobs always surprises me by totally reinventing the Vuitton handbag so the Japanese line will get even longer outside the Champs Elysées."

I love the truth.

How To Look Good This Winter, In Hawaii

The key to looking good in a warm weather winter is wear a scarf pinned together with a supersized safety pin. This look is unique, originating at the premier of the 2006 winter collection for Fendi, at the beginning of the year. Unforunately, the only way to sucesfully master the look is with a very short scarf.

Recap Of Year's Hipness

2006 was a year of experimentation. Dior hommes introduced their Gold Hightops setting a trend to be shown once again in 2007 with Commes Des Garcons going with sparkles, shine, & Gold-Deluxe. Moncler, almost unheard of a few years ago has re-established itself as every man's winter luxury. As the new york time's style section refers to it as a "pair of Gucci loafers with feathers."

Not Just A Designer

A window displaying "Worst President Ever" can only be viewed at the San Franciso Marc by Marc Jacobs store because of their special order. They were put up in June and have had no complaints.

Gucci: Ridiculous Price Inflation

Gucci attempting to stay far away from the disappearing image of Coach, has resorted to keeping an upbeat image through price inflation. A simple polo shirt by them is a whopping $350;hopefully, some moron accidentally wrote the wrong price. Everyone loves Gucci. However, the prices are exponentially increasing year after year. At Marc Jacobs, one can can buy the famous rat key chains for only a dollar. If Gucci had something like that it would probably be 25 dollars. The worst thing is that the polo was just classic polo it wasn't anything special if it was a silk & cashmere blend then that would make sense.

Looking Good For Barneys

Cobi Levy is prepared for the release of the new 2007 collections. His new collection was designed to meet the necessities and specifications of his customers. Very thoughtful, lets just hope that the collection comes to our specifications. The clothes will be up for sale at Barneys in late January to early February as stated by one of their employees. Also the gentleman informed me, that because the Marc Jacobs Men's collection was not fitting in very well or having a sucess at the store they will no longer be carrying it. However, this may only have it's limits at the Boston store, also I believe he just meant the high Marc Jacobs and they should still be carrying Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Ahead of the much anticipated shows upcoming in Milan, they have enforced new regulations on models weight. The models must be at least 16 years of age and with a body mass index,A mathematical formula to assess relative body weight. The measure correlates highly with body fat, of less than 18.5. This is part of a new campaign to end teens and youth girls from becoming obsessed with their weights;hopefully, resulting in a stop from the increase in teen eating disorders.

Deer Prank

Everybody Loves A Convertible

Only Thomas Pink, shirt creating extrordinare, could create a 3-in-one dress shirt. As the company describes itself: "A 3-in-1 Slim Fit shirt that only Thomas Pink could have imagined! An impressive all-rounder features detachable collars and cuffs in their own drawstring pouch. Without the collar and cuff it's a casual 'grandfather' shirt for evenings or weekend wear. Slim Fit contoured shape. Double cuffs. 100% cotton - machine washable - imported." That really sounds impressive. Except, I doubt it will look so classy. Shockingly, I feel that the look for the shirt will end up very dorky such as a kid wearing a short-sleeve oxford shirt with a tie.

Down Goes The Croc

It has been two months and I have not heard a word about those damn Crocs or seen them, thank God. Fashion designers around the world were praying that those Closed Cell Resin shoes originally introduced for chefs but gone public are coming to an end. Too bad for the makers of Crocs about their downfall. Sadly, I feel that Crocs will not leave;instead, they will be added to the list of undestroyable things : Uggs, Birkenstocks, Cher, & Cockroaches.

The Art of Shaving

The company, The Art of Shaving has made a grand reputation for it's elegant and classic shaving devices ranging from old-school straight-edge razors to new razors with heads made by Gilette. Recently they opened a store in Boston, the sales people are very helpful and explain the importance of: "prepare, lather up, shave, & moisturize." Not only do they sell Razors but also a collection of accessories such as: Brushes, Stands, After-shave balm, and every other necessity needed for shaving. The concept of using a brush is that it exfoliates the skin opening up the pores resulting in a closer shave. The line is great. The straight-edge razors range from a disposable to a stainless steel with a horned grip from $45-300. While the brushes start at $50-100.

Holes In Fashion World

December 18th, Alexandre Plokhow, announced that he may become a former employee for Cloak because of business partnership disputes. After all 2007 Collections are sent to stores;supposedly, he will call-it quits. He had advice for youth, upcoming, and the designers of our future: "Get a great lawyer to read through anything you are about to sign."

Zeno? Fact or Fiction?

Searching various places for anything containing essentials for beauty, fashion, and life necessities; I found a beauty product foreign to me the Zeno. This is a device used to remove acne. "Zeno PRO is a clinically proven hand-held rechargeable medical device for the at-home treatment of individual inflammatory acne pimples. Included in your Zeno PRO purchase: Zeno PRO Acne Clearing Device, 90-count Treatment Tip, Leather Carry Case w/ Mirror, Wall Charger and Product Manual. All Zeno products include a 30 Day Money-Back Satisfaction Guarantee." That is a quote from the manufacturers website. In that instance it was talking about the Zeno PRO the higher end version. I've never heard of the product before finding it somewhere. Luckily, my friend held onto the website link and I decided to make it public.

Moschino: Home of Confident Models

This is by far one of the most creative looks I've ever seen. I'm not sure how the models pulled it off because it takes so much self-confidence to do. However, in the first place the models have to go through the good and the bad so this must be a reason of their confidence. Only if I had the confidence to wear the look would I try. It would be well-worth anyone's money to try the look out just for reactions of on-lookers.

Puzzling Looks of 2007

An employee of mine, technically a volunteer, spotted this glamorous photo of the perceived not-so-chic looks in Elle Magazine, December. I apologize for the poor quality. Technical difficulties were plentiful during the process of uploading the image.

Juicy Couture :Not Couture?

As we know: "Haute Couture is a French phrase for high fashion. Couture means dressmaking, sewing, or needlework and haute means elegant or high, so the two combined imply excellent artistry with the fashioning of garments. The purchase of a haute couture model garment is at the top level of hand customised fashion design and clothing construction made by a couture design house. A model haute couture garment is made specifically for the wearer's measurements and body stance. The made to measure exclusive clothes are virtually made by hand, carefully interlined, stay taped and fitted to perfection for each client." I didn't feel like writing up a long paragraph for it's true meaning. However, recently the craze of Juicy Couture which has been around for i'd say the past few years is growing;eventhough, the clothing really isn't couture. After thinking about this for a while it really doesn't matter because just having the name juicy sounds like a description of a freshly picked apple or some overly descriptive sexual adjective, with couture added to the end of it something incredible is created. Sadly, the company is just an excuse to wear sweat clothes in public. For the women's clothes juicy pretty much sums up the crap that britney spears wore to her "Overly Packed White Trash" secret & accidental wedding in Las Vegas during January earlier this year. Someone needs to make a timeline of the trashtastic events which Britney Spears canbe associated with this year. That only describes the women's clothing. I didn't mean to describe Juicy clothing as white trash; coincidentally, she happened to wear an all-pink track suit which seemed to be made by them. The men's juicy can sometimes be cool. The finest men's outfit by them was their fur-lined hoody found at bloomingdales, nordstrom, or saks. Except, some of their clothing looks straight from the Sopranos. The mobsters often wear track suits and everytime I look at their tracksuits....I think.........Tony Get the Fuck down here would ya....... hey pussy you fat fuck.

Football: famous on and off the pitch

  1. Tommy Hilfiger not too long ago signed a contract with Thierry Henry, International footballer and skipper for Arsenal F.C., showing the popular trend between football and fashion. About a decade ago David Beckham became one of the first footballer’s absorbed by luxuries, style, and a love for fashion which has given him better credit for his hair and looks rather than his ability to play. In the World Cup, Armani designed the uniforms for the Italian national team. Numerous critics have blamed England’s team for their posh living and fashion for their lack of performances. Some people say that to find England’s best footballers just attend a high-end fashion show and they are either in the audience or partaking in the event.
